Structural Upgrade to Historical Takapuna Pumphouse

Following on from the initial chimney strengthening project, further seismic strengthening and refurbishment was required to the Takapuna PumpHouse. This project involved Legacy carefully removing the existing super 6 roofing and replacing it with a new roof. New structural steel was installled,  replacing the timber purlins, adjusting the height of parapets, installing plywood bracing, installing new insulation and installing flashings, profiled metal roof, spouting and guttering. Upon completion of the main roof louvre windows were constructed on site and installed. On the interior of the building angle bracing was attached to existing trusses.
